Cadet,

Last night I was roaming through old posts and on a thread from "lostinpbg" (?) there was "homework" listed that seemed to have topics which are no longer included.
Not sure but "why they run" stuck out and another I don't remember in the new list.

(I'm on my phone and it's hard to read sometimes.)

Meanwhile, Cadet, I didn't know you were a guy!

("Dude---Dude---sounds like a Lady!" --to Aerosmith song.
In a good way! Like a compassionate ear. smile. )

The homework list has grown bigger but I do not believe anything has been removed from it, "why they run" is still there.

Yup I am definitely a guy.

But I understand that reading written words can get confusing.
It is like Wonka(please dont take offense W) I didnt realize she was a lady, since she kept talking about her wife.

Hope you had a good weekend! smile

I thought Wonka was a lady too at first, then I was confused, now I've got it straight.

And yes, I had a wonderful weekend, until I over-rotated my hip at 3 AM and felt/heard a distinct "pop!"

Not sure what that's about but I'm taking it easy until I see my ortho doc next week.

I am like Gumby, with hyper-mobile joints.
Sometimes things just don't stay put.
Also have a high pain threshold, which is a real plus for my current situation.
(It's getting a good workout, too.)

smile

Cadet & GG,

I just love to mess with people's minds here! Nah...I am 100% certified woman. Shoot, I've been "stamped" by inspector #16 at Jockey's. grin wink

GG,

That hip sounds wicked bad...can it "pop" back in its place?

I am going to be spending a bit of time over in "MidLife Crisis" Land.

After reading more of the resource links, I came across the "Is it WAS or MLC?" thread.

Suddenly, it came back, how all this started, (on my end, anyway.)

I found my H's behavior increasingly erratic beginning around Dec 2012.

I got the ILYBINILWY speech in May 2013.

I bought a book "Surviving Your Mate's Midlife Crisis".
Tried to talk to my H.... He said he'd like to go to MC. Never happened.

What did happen was more statements about "not being happy, not wanting to be "ONE OF THOSE GRAY PEOPLE JUST GOING THROUGH THE MOTIONS OF LIFE!" along with a trip (alone) to the city where we both used to live, where we met. (Turns out that was just a ruse to spend some quality time with OW)

Found out later on that he texted a pic of this book to OW (30 years younger), both of them having a good laugh on me!
No... Not a MLC!!!
He just "needed" someone who "understood him" (who put him on a pedestal, until he fell off with no help from me.)

I joined an online forum for MLC and those women got me out of my denial of OW. I had asked him, he said there was no one.
So I snooped for the first time ever in our marriage (truth!) and within five minutes found the incriminating email that told me everything I needed to know.

The rest is history.
I am getting a lot out of reading the "Why They Run" threads.
Many of the descriptions fit my H to a tee.

I'll see if there is a way I can apply this info practically.

I think this is part of that undercurrent I've been feeling; like I'm not dealing with a grown man at all. Dealing with my H is like coping with a little boy in a tantrum, or a hormonal, rebellious, pimply teenager.
I feel like his MOTHER!

Ugh.
Plus he is so clearly not thinking rationally, it's like he's way off in fantasy left field.

So I don't know if it will help, but perhaps it will help me fine-tune my DB approach.

Wonka, I have no doubt!
But one question. Did that "stamping" hurt?
(Cause rumor has it that Inspector #16 is brutal.)

smile

Sound like you're a Nor' Easter, too...

As for my hip: It pops in, it pops out.
Same with all the rest of my joints. It's a joyride in my body. You never know what you're gonna get!
Heck, if I had the right attitude, I could probably join the circus as the
"Incredible Bendy Woman"! (I'd just need lots of ink and some cool piercings...)

Flexibility, strength, and the ability to withstand pain that would slay the average human. All underscored with a certain innocence and vulnerability, that's ME.

Great tools for DBing, but also very easily set off limping in the wrong direction...
