Almost everyone with time under their belt gets banned for a time, or has their threads deleted or purged.
Some of those threads are gone for exactly one post out of any other number.

You have helped people, you are respected across the board, even with those who disagree with some of your stances. At times we have not seen eye to eye, but we communicated that.
You're a guy the new guys here want to be.
Do you need to GAL and get away from the board a bit? Who doesn't?
I know the sin of pride and ego and listening to my own press. Talking at times to hear myself speak, and if it is your pride that got stung, then maybe this is a good thing. No one's peg should be that high, speaking from a similar place.
Pup, at your core you help people you help them with advice that is mirrored by DB and rooted in it.
Somethings are hard not to take personally, but our 'personally' makes things hard.
I hope you decide to come back Pup, I hope that you can use the tactics of DBing...even here on this site, for the new guys who need the mentor you are.

Personally speaking, this place has literally saved my sanity. Puppy was one of the first ones to post to me. I'm very sure most other newbies can say the same thing. He, along with the other well known vets, provide a valuable service to those who are hurting. They do it for FREE. They are paying it forward by helping out people they know are hurting. The rest of us can support each other and offer some advice, but can anyone on her say that they don't get a little "excited" when Puppy or Coach, Greek, Robx, Gucci, etc.(please forgive me for excluding soooo many!) take the time to give us their time and consideration?
I have gained so much here. Most of all, I look at myself a different way. Sandi2 told me I was a "nice guy" and I took offense to that. Then, it sank in. We all NEED to hear things that we maybe don't want to about ourselves. Only then can we eventually accept those things, but actively go about changing them.
That being said, I hope those who are still here will remain. And not just the vets. Pinhead and Dan and Pookie and so many others. You are needed. If I can help one person get out of the funk and depression and misery that I was in not so long ago, I will be proud to try and do my part in paying it forward. I want to do so and also believe it is my responsibility.
Lastly, if more moderators are needed - DO IT! I do thank MWD for creating this site and would hate to see it neutered in any way.
Without the vets this board is pretty useless, my sich was hopeless from the start I never had many vets check in, but still learned lots from reading there post. I hope that some of the newer DB who get through this step up and fill the gap. I can offer advice on how to get divorced because db or anything else did not help my sich.

Your experience is invaluable. I remember the first time I stumbled across this site. I was so grateful (yet sad) that others felt like I did, and were going through similar situations. It has become a second home to me (in a sick and perverse way;)).
