As JS reminded me in my older post, i've reached 100 post limit. I am starting new thread.

To recap quickly where i was in my sitch....

1: Wife was close to giving me a second final divorce decree draft

2: I was going skydiving this saturday.

3: IL called and we talked about lot of stuff. FIL kept asking me to keep cool till end of the year and that things would become okay...

So first things first...

Yay i went skydiving !!!!
And people i have to say, this is one thing you gotta do if you can. Definitely cannot explain the rush. The first 3 seconds after we jumped were hell. But i really enjoyed the next 50 seconds of freefall. It was worth every penny. Honestly i think i was able to do this jump because of my current situation. Yup, there were families and couples whereas i went alone. But i tried being in the moment and enjoyed every moment. Yup, when i was standing at the edge looking down before jumping, i did 2 things. (1)Told my mind that nothing matters if anything happens. (2)Trusted my tandem master completely.

So yup, it was one great experience. Now back to Terra-firma.

Pretty Cool. My FIL has a free tandem jump that he has been trying get someone to use. I don't know if I'm ready for that, but since he lives a about 2000 miles way, it would take some effort to use it.

I know what you're saying here, man. I'm find myself taking a lot more risks nowadays.

That is awesome! What a rush that must have been.

Good times. I got to be top of my freefall parachuting class (woo woo!) but we only got 10 sec. Good stuff I think everyone should do at least once!

Thanks y'all!!

I could not keep it from my daughter. When italked to her on sunday, i showed her some of the pics while i was in the air (goofy looking due to the wind). She got a real kick out of them. Wife did ask me if i went skydiving and how it felt and how i was able to do it etc. I did answer her, but only to the point. It was extremely awkward. She was always the only person i always talked to whenever i had something so say. I wanted us to do this together. But i keep telling myself that i have to let all the bad stuff in this year go. Otherwise it is very hard to move on. Like this morning when i came across some pictures of daughter when she was only 9 months. She looked so cute. And all she wanted was us to hold her. How much she has grown now. I have missed most of her first 2 years because wife was constantly at her parents. Sometimes it was because of our relationship. Majority because she wanted a break due to daughter's food allergies.

Looking at those photos did bring me down this morning. because I can never get those times back with my daughter. But i guess i'll have to let these things go if i want a better future with her.

Honestly, jumping from that airplane felt easier to do than deal with these complex emotions.

MK Good for you! Put a checkmark in the “YES, I did that column”, and do it again if you like. I normally don’t read this board over the weekend, but I tried to find this thread last night to check in and see how it went.

Yes, we all have to let the past remain in the past, but we learn from them. Regret has a way of teaching us, but we cannot afford to let it paralyze us to inaction.

When we were kids we all wanted do over’s. They never really were do over’s. They could not be. Professor Peabody and his WABAC is a work of fiction, but life has a way of presenting opportunities for do agains, and do betters. That is something to aspire to.

Recently in an email my son described a moment when I managed to teach him a valuable life lesson he is still using today. We were camping at a family reunion and I was trying to teach him how to tie a taut line hitch. He learned to tie the knot, but the lesson came from how we interacted together and with other campers while doing so.

You will have those opportunities. While teaching her the most mundane things she’ll take more from your demeanor and attitude than the technical knowledge you’re attempting to impart.

Journaling...

Not much going on in my sitch.
Last i heard , wife let me know that i could expect another decree soon. That was about 3 weeks ago. Not heard about it since. Also had convo with IL. I wonder if that has anything to with the delay.
On one hand i feel like asking her about the status so we can bring this thing to an end. But on the other hand I dont think i am ready to hear her say that it will there soon. This suspense is bothering me a lil.

On the GAL front, seems like i've been bitten by the flying bug. Met up with a colleague who flys gliders. Says he really enjoys it. Now i am ready to jump into that activity. I am hoping to get a discount from the skydiving place so i can go for another dive. I am gonna start collecting up money to start the skydiving training to get a skydive license. Hopefully some of these will pan out.

That sounds like a *lot* of fun! I'm almost envious of your GAL smile I somewhat understand your suspense, sometimes knowing is better than wondering.
