Thanks Jeff. This is my first Thurs/Fri/Sat with the kids per our calendar. I wonder what it will be like when the shoe is on the other foot and I am "kidless" for 3 days in a row...

Hi BobbiJo -

That first kidless time is going to be tough for you. Try to keep yourself busy. Hopefully, the kids will get through it without missing mommy too much.

I know what kidless feels like, a little lost. I don't know what being alone for several days feels like though since my mom lives with me. That might be interesting. I'm sure since your kids are so little it might be a little bit more difficult than me parting with a teenager.

Make a plan now. Plan something to do with a friend one night, plan an outing for yourself during the day on Saturday, etc. Fill your time with things for you and it will pass quickly.

For me it was hard to watch them leave, but my Bgf was with me and we went for lunch and after that my other 2 gfs came over to keep me company. Next day, I was feeling good I had some time alone to reflect and rest. It's not that bad, you will see. It feels this way at first. Of course I trusted H completely with the kids and was not worried at all. That was important.

I won't lie BBJ...it is really tough at first. It is important to have plans for you, better if they are with someone. I'll be with you in spirit.

Home today, D has been throwing up half the night. Her belly has been HUGE for 2 days and no BMs that I am aware of, so H is worried about a blockage. He offered to come in last night but I told him it was under control. Good thing teachers are allotted several sick days per year!

(((((BBJ)))))

Hey!

We had a similar problem, that became a big problem. Does she have a history of not wanting to go? It's not really a DB problem, hit me in the alt if you want!

My son had that problem when he was young. Glycerin suppositories did the trick in a matter of minutes.

BBJ watch very carefully. Constipation can get really bad. Usually you have Diarhea when you vomit like that for a tummy virus. Her tummy would hurt really bad if there is blockage. I know she's young so that can be tricky. I hope it's just a virus and it's done.... vomiting kids are so messy

Yes. Our oldest developed a condition call functional constipation. It was an issue for years. You really don't want to know the details!
