Ya know what's so ironic? We have been talking about going since his sisters live in Southern California. He wanted to go for Christmas, but I don't think my work schedule will allow (retail especially lol).

So I suggested January. Then look what popped up on your thread! I decided it was fate and I would have to try and make it down there lol.

Ya know, I checked Cali law (there's nothing for hourly jobs requiring more than 24 hrs notice), but I hadn't checked the policy handbook yet. That's a brilliant idea!

PS I am now bying jewlery from Israel to sell them and hopefully make 30%-40% profit. I am expecting the first items in the next couple of weeks, I really need to change jobs!!

Well, took Friday off work and spent several hours of my life that I'll never get back filing papers to finalize the D.

STBXH never even bothered to reply to my e-mail.

Worked at my retail job Thurs and Friday nights, then a full 8 hour shift Saturday. BUT, I had Sunday off!!!! First day off in WAY too long, I did mostly nothing. It was great. I could use about 10 more days of that though, then maybe I'd be ready to tackle my to do list lol.

And, drum roll please! I have this weekend off. Going away with the in laws for our annual Girl's Weekend. Feels a bit strange to be going since they're not really family anymore, but they invited me and I like them, so off I go! We'll be in Morro Bay which is a few hours drive, but it's in the middle since we're spread out all over Cali.

Just gotta make it through this week lol!

Doesn't it suck having to do all the work when you weren't even the one that wanted the D in the first place?? XH wouldn't have filed until he had to...I think it made him feel like the bad guy and this way, he could blame it on me. He already has said things to his family like "she was the one who filed." Such BS but whatever, I needed to move on and couldn't do so with a clear consious while still married.

Have fun on the trip! I tried to stay friends with the ex in-laws but in the end it just didn't work for me. Sounds like it is working for you, have fun!!

I love Morrow Bay. There is that great oyster house that looks like a big red barn. Is it still there? Has that big decking hanging off the back. Great clams!

Bummer you had to fill all those papers out without stbxh ever acknowledging. What a dufus! When will it be final?

Saturday was the end of the 6 month waiting period. It will be final whenever the judge finishes reviewing the case file and signs the decree. I will receive a copy in the mail. Should be within a couple weeks.

I will look for that restaurant!

Yeah, definitely not as close with the in laws as I was, but we are definitely on friendly terms still.

Ugh. So, STBXH STILL hasn't said a single word about the e-mail I sent him last week, or the last e-mail I sent him a while ago where I vented about the A and other stuff, told him I was resigned to the D, and that I would appreciate it if he didn't contact me.

So, after not receiving a text from him since July (that may be the last time we talked at all, not sure though), I wake up this am to a text: "So Im in missouri at the moment but I was hoping we might a sit down when i get back in a week. We have too much bad blood between us for my liking."
