eyeball action? Not that I'm aware of. smile

Watching her react to the concert was nearly as fun as the show itself. My next question is......who should I take to U2 in October. Hmmmmmm...... Of course, I may end up selling my tickets if it gets desperate enough around here.

On 27JUN my friend is taking me to see Dane Cook as a late birthday present. I'm so pumped! He's the dang funniest guy ever! What a blast.

WooHoo Mish! A great concert, adult beverages and company, and the twins got some attention too! Can't ask for much more than that! So glad you had a great time. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.

Aww! Thanks! I am getting away next month and KellyJo is stocking up the adult beverages! Poor thing got wounded fixing up her spare bedroom for me! Right now, DH is being a butt and I cannot wait to leave the kids with him and take a break.

Thanks guys!

I definitely needed it. I almost think my gf needed it more though. She never, ever, ever leaves her H and kids except to take care of her parent's home while they are away. She said it felt like a vacation and she didn't want to go home. All I could think while she was complaining about the kids and H pestering her all the time was "Yeah, careful what you complain about. Don't ever be complacent about your H and what he does for you. Don't ever turn down an opportunity to spend alone time with your H because you'll regret it someday. Look where I am." Heavens.

Do any of you find yourself watching the dynamics in couples very careful and biting your tongue to keep from blurting out advice to them? I swear, I have seen so many women belittling their H's, outright disprespecting them, talking down to their families, etc. and I can't believe I never noticed it before all of this. I wonder how many of these people will end up right where I'm at one of these days. Sad that we had to learn the lessons FAR too late, huh?

All the time. Matter of fact just yesterday I had to defend my cousin's BF (I know not H, but anyway) and then did an analysis that only 2 couples of the 10 or 11 that we were invovled in their weddings divorced, so that was a pretty good ratio.

PS And yes I bite my tongue also. But I noticed I find it difficult to explain to my friends what to look out for. I feel I have all this "knowledge" in my head I find it hard to share...

Ditto.. I feel exactly the same.. I feel like I have 'woken up' amd notice things in other peoples Rs, or how they are with their kids, setting bad examples in talking to them and its glaringly obvious.. particularly with peoples R's.. and you want to say something, but cant and anyway, where would you start to explain even if they asked? Its something you learn the hard way and cant be explained.. if they were aware enough to really ask you, then they would have realised for themselves already.

But yes, if only we had learnt this 2, 5, or 10 years ago!!!
