First and foremost, trust in Him.

Be true to yourself. Always, in all ways.

Nice matters.

I am a plainspoken girl from Brooklyn. Growing up, we had simple rules we lived by: I forgot some of them for a little while along this journey. I am living them again.

Always tell the truth. It's just easier and right.
Always have your family and friends' back. Even when they might not
deserve it. Even when they dont want you to.
Say what you mean, mean when you say.
Love unconditionally.
Never let anyone make you feel unworthy.
Speak your mind. Plainly.
Laugh often and loud. Great big belly laughs.
Sometimes you just need to use the F word. A lot.
Never let your anger last.
Some friends will be in your life forever.
Be polite. Unless someone cuts you off, steals your boyfriend or
girlfriend. Then all bets are off.
Even if your 5 feet tall - remmember you can still get in someone's
face
At the end of the day, be able to look at yourself in the mirror.
Try your best to live with no regrets.

I had to go to a funeral this weekend. My sister's mother in law died somewhat suddenly.

She was a tough lady. Really tough. You always knew when she was in the room or in the area for that matter. She raised her kids with an iron hand. And my brother in law, though he has done some bad things in his MLC, is still one of the people I know I could go to no matter what. She let you know what she was thinking without any doubt.

Anyway, at the wake, the priest asked for stories about her. People mostly about how tough she was. About how she would straighten out the kids in the neighborhood, how she always spoke her mind.

But mostly, they spoke about the fact that she was present in their lives.

She was raising her 14 year old Grandaughter who is mentally challenged. Well, her grandaughter stood up and spoke about her Mama. Clear and strong, her voice was.

She said, my mama was always there. She was always there. Whenever I needed her. However I needed her. She was there. There wasnt a dry eye in the place.

So, I guess the most important thing we must be in our lives and the lives of those we love is to be present.

I got booted from a game once.

"Watch your language Jack"
"Why does it do F-ing tricks?"

Totally worth it.

Holy Crap, I thought I was the only one whose mother still gave them the potty mouth lecture LOL

Hey guys!

Good one, J.

Cant say my mom used to lecture me. She cursed like a sailor. LOL!

And I cant say that I have a potty mouth, but, I certainly can when I need to.

Sometimes no other words work.
