Hello.

The past two days I have been going through an emotional downturn. I think about life and where I am going - w/o my W. Things are getting tough at work and we both do the same work but at different locations. In the past we would call eachother for advice. I miss those days.

I keep reading on this message board that time and patience are our best allies in this. It's hard to keep going when your other half is checked out.

Help!

I understand your sense of loss. It is awful. You miss what was, you want it back, but you know it may not ever come back.

All I can suggest from personal experience is to be thankful for what you had, and now, be thankful and grateful for what you DO have.

What can you do to nurture and honor yourself today. How can you be kind to you?

I know exactly how you feel. My H and I work in the same field and I too miss being able to bounce work ideas off of him. Just one of the millions of things I miss. I've lived this for a year now and just five minutes ago I said to myself, for about the thousandth time--"I miss my old life". But there is no going back, only forward. I still struggle with how to do that without the support of my H. Keep taking one day at a time. It does get better. I used to think about my situation every second of every day. Now I maybe think about it every thirty minutes and have worked hard to not let it consume me. It may not seem like a lot of improvement but it gives me hope that one day I'll get through an entire day without thinking about what I've lost.

Tell me if this is a bit too much.

While at the house W says here is the insurance info for your truck. I quickly reply, oh the info for our truck.

Both our banes are still on it so it didn't hurt to say it, right?
