Thanks to everyone that has given me wonderful wisdom and guidance on my own journey during this time. I continue to have good days and bad days, but see clearly that W's MLC has given me a great gift. The opportunity to look within myself and find strength and clarity for myself. This is a hard road that we walk. I continue to struggle to find compassion and unconditional love. Greatest thing I have learned in this struggle is that we choose to love one another.

Quote that I found today:

"No one falls in love by choice, it is by chance. No one stays in love by chance, it is by work. And no one falls out of love by chance it is by choice"

Spending the evening in the gym again. S12 wanted to go watch HS bball again. Just me and my boy in a hot, crowded gym tonight. I love it. No worries. Times like this are great.

Strange observation for the day:

I think our pets are even reacting to W's MLC weirdness and depression. We have 3 cats and 1 little dog. Kitties have always been my babies. Always been a cat person.

Doggie has always been her baby. Used to always ask her to take him out. Actually laid in bed with her most of the summer during her 2 months of nothingness. Always slept on her side of the bed. W posted pics of him on FB under the covers with her, etc. Doggie now stays downstairs with me until I go to bed. Lays beside me on the couch or in my chair. Always comes to me to take him out. Woke up with him sleeping under the covers between my legs this morning.

Kitties have taken turns over the years controlling the space of the MBR. Each of them has had their turns when that was their area. The MBR has always been occupied by one of the kitties, until now. They rarely go in there at all. They stay downstairs in the LR and kitchen with me or hang out on the steps which they love. Our 2 tomcats have always kept their distance from each other, but in the last 2 weeks, they have taken to laying together with me whenever I sit down. It's kind of comical sometimes. The other night I had the dog beside me on the couch and both big tomcats laying on my lap.

I know pets are strange sometimes, but they also sense when things are wrong. When W's little doggie has decided not to hang out with her in her state of depression and upheaval, that is a telling sign to me.

Animals are sensitive beings......they know all is not right in the house. We should pay more attention to animal cue's.

Snuggle away......I read something that it lowers depression, relieves anxiety and strengthens the immune system.

That is a great quote J. It's so true, love is a choice we make every single day. So much more than just a feeling or an emotion. I'm not sure if it applies to our crazy MLCers, so much seems to be out of their control, but it sure applies to us Standers.

That's interesting about your pets avoiding W. Maybe you can use them as a sort of early spewing warning system smile

It does actually work...when I'd come home from work I learned to look for where our dog was, if in the middle of the floor in the entryway or LR, then safe...if downstairs in her kennel... uh-oh, better get out the Kevlar and suit up... wink

Funny T2. Maybe these guys are all tired of her moodiness. She used to sweet talk the pets and everything. No more. JFun 2.0 goes out of his way to talk nice to all living creatures, so kitties and doggie have been no exception.

I am convinced they do...heck, HER cat became my meditation cat, slept on the bed with me after W moved to the LR, and only dealt with W for food...and my cat would avoid her.
