Thanks, 3. smile

Update for the day: I put together the (150 lb.) foosball table all by myself (well, me and my sailor mouth, in equal parts), and I am proud of myself. All that strength training came in handy!

I'm also feeling better about my sitch - I told a few more people (I had to, since they are coming over tonight) and I feel like that will help me accept my reality. I notice that I go back and forth between being hurt and just thinking my H is an idiot and telling myself I don't care. Hopefully at some point I will get to a point in between where I am fine without having to actively dislike my H, but I am not there yet so I will just try to forget about him and have fun today.

Now to clean up my house, run out and get adult beverages for tonight, and root for my home team!

Hope everyone has a great day!

GO BRONCOS!!!

Par for the course for my H, I found out today that when he moved out, he took the media stand in the basement - well, I knew he took it, but what I didn't know is that he left all the electronics (DVD, Wii, Satellite box) that were in it in a big, unplugged heap on the floor. Because hey, what does he care if it's a big mess and it's all disconnected and tangled up? He's got his own TV at "the Dad Pad."

I've wasted an hour that I don't have trying to figure it out and can't make it work. (To make matters worse, he claims he has no idea where the remote controls are.) So now we won't have the game on in the basement. Grrrr.

What a jerk.

Hopefully someone taller than me can help me (since the few control buttons on the TV itself are on top of it, and I can't even really see them standing on a chair, so I am blindly pushing buttons).

Just had to vent on here to avoid telling my children what a selfish ass their father is.

Go Broncos!!

Glad I got to vent here (sorry for those of you who wasted your time reading my spew).

Got it out of my system and had a fun party. smile

Once again learned to go into things without expectations as I found that most of what I feared didn't come to pass.

Everyone showed up.

I told everyone who came over (except one woman who is a recent WAS and a little bit crazy) about being S. And it really was fine.

I couldn't get the basement TV working, but it was fine. Nobody cared. We had the game on in the family room and that was plenty.

I had enough food. People liked it.

None of the kids dropped their orange or blue Izze all over the couch.

The toddler who came over didn't whine and throw a tantrum the whole time. In fact, she was rather charming and adorable and didn't even fuss until they were leaving.

The gossipy Mom who came over was perfectly nice and not nosy at all.

I had a semi-weird mix of adults (I just invited who my kids wanted to invite), and they all got along great.

It was fine not having my H there. I can throw a party all on my own. And I didn't really even think about him much.

The one thing I was not worried about and not prepared for DID happen.

The Broncos lost by 35. Ugh.

(But if I HAD worried about that, they STILL would have lost by 35.)

My poor S7 is so devastated. He has vowed to never watch another Broncos game again. frown

I have been looking forward to my appt with a lawyer tomorrow, but now I am feeling sad about it. This is actually going to happen. And I don't want it to.

Boo.

Mel, at least you haven't had to watch your team lose the Super Bowl four years in a row like I did. smile After watching Buffalo lose those games, I pretty much swore off football. I did watch the game tonight, though. Seattle definitely played well.

I'm glad you had a successful evening. I wish you well at your meeting tomorrow.

Oh, you're a Bills fan. That has to be rough. Sorry. smile

Thanks for the good wishes. I hope I can separate my emotions enough tomorrow to get a good idea of where I stand in a D.

I really never envisioned sitting in a lawyer's office talking about the terms of a D. Blech.

I am glad that the party went well despite the lousy score. And good job letting people in on the current status of your life. It found it freeing to not have to lie and pretend that everything was perfect.

Good luck today. Let us know how it goes. I think that I may actually make an appt with a L just to see what I am facing. You would think that being a L myself I would have not waited so long.
