This pretty much explains the situation with father's rights in Canada. Sadly, this situation is very common in my country.

Behind every footprint in the Sand
Once stood a great man
Who for the first time held your tiny hand
A daddy's love knows no bounds
From moment conceived to moment born
A day I couldn't wait for
I watched you crawl, I watched you Cry
I held you close when you wanted to hide
Be it tea party or soccer game
Daddy always came
Then one day daddy came no more
Daddy called and daddy tried
Only to be denied
As days passed and as you grew
Daddy fought for you.
But the judge decides and said no more.
So daddy hung his head and cried.
That day a part of daddy died.
People come and people go
All I wanted was to watch you grow
Like many dads I sat in silence
And waited until you grew.
Sad I missed so much of you.
Expecting to one day see the child I once knew.
The one who's daddy was their hero.
The man who promised to always be there.
So now I fight for fathers rights
To fix what isn't right
So other children and fathers
Don't have the same sleepless nights.
So as my future grandchildren come to this world
A day without dad they will hopefully never know.
So you can be the dad I wanted to be
A simple foot print in the sand, Followed by a great man.

No matter what, don't give up on your kids. They need BOTH parents. Do everything you can possibly do to save your marriage, and when you think you've done everything try doing everything again.
