Uhhhh....right!! You deserved a treat today Im sure!! But no more!!

What am I saying???? Im not starting my diet until MONDAY!!! Or should I say, my new lifestyle!!! IMP doesnt like the word diet I think.....Its a lifestyle...which is basically true...You cant just diet and stop or you will gain the weight back...so really this is something we have to stick with forever if we want our bodies looking great!!!!

Hey Di,
You mentioned that when you cut out the wheat in your diet you felt better.

Any chance that you have Celiac Disease?

My MLC W has Celiac and can't eat wheat.

Kissak - Monday??? and I'm supposed to throw away the chocolate???

Yes, I know "diet" has become a dirty word, and I'm trying to only use it as a nutritionist might, as in "what you eat...."

For some reason I usually have trouble eating right on the weekends, so we'll see how it goes. Hopefully coming here will keep me on track. Exercise program starts Monday.

sooner, I know it's not that easy as to just rinse and repeat 7 times. I think though that it is easier to lose weight when like me I have sooo much to lose and that program is a good boost to get going. I have horrible eating habits, I just like to eat, especially sweets.

dianamo, 5'6" tall? I don't want to give you a short complex but in my world that's not tall! taller than many though. Do you ever feel like the jolly green giant or a big ape? I tower over most women, and can make a lot of guys look up at me too or at least straight across. That's without heels!

Now who was being silly about throwing away good chocolate? Shame on you!

Well, I had a bad evening last night. Something about seeing H, feeling the tension and the need for cheese!! UGHHHHHH!!!!

The worst time of day for me is from 3-6. I think it's because that's when the kids get home and I start thinking about H coming home-----would love to hear what works for anyone that has had trouble with this mid-day time.

Monday's looking better to me too, Kissak..............

Di,
Funny thing...you mentioned how midafternoon is tough...

A couple of days ago I posted on my thread that it seems like mid-afternoon is when I'm at my low point of the day emotionally. A few others then commented that they shared the same issue.

I think you're right: that it's due to the anticipation and uncertainty. The evening is when families are usually together. But when you're dealing with an MLC spouse, the evenings can be turned into a stressful time instead of together time.

I've found that if I can keep myself really busy, or go for a little walk, it helps...not totally, but it helps.

Hang in there...

Bodies start to take a blood sugar dive in the afternoon. 6pmish being the absolutely worst time if you haven't eaten during the afternoon. I think that certainly doesn't help with the low feelings. That and the thought of the monster you might encounter when you get home!!!

If you have a dog, it's a good time to go for a little walk. Maybe you should get one? Puppies take almost as much time as babies - it would certainly keep you busy!

Mostly joking, but not really. I don't know what I'd do without my dogs and even the non-cat is good for a cuddle every once in a while.
