I do have a restraining order in place. He is still in jail- he has no one to bail him out.

(((((((Lisa))))))) Lisa, you didn't fail! You did everything you could. And then some. No doubt, there are things you could have done differently. But, nothing you did caused this. He had problems that you couldn't fix!
Take care of yourself, and your kids, and make sure you do everything you can to protect yourself from him. He is very troubled in the head.
I am very sorry to hear of the difficulties you had. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hang in there. There will be ups and downs. Do the best you can and let your children be your joy.
