Sounds like you are doing well. How are you holding up emotionally? I would think it would be difficult, even in your sitch to pack up your things and talk about money, etc. Thinking about you!

Hi Sara,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm doing okay, I guess. Just wish all this was behind me.

In my heart, I can't help feeling that there's going to be more to the story. We relate too well and she seems to be avoiding herself too much for this to be completely over. But it all depends on whether she's willing to give up OM, and unless that happens I will continue acting like I'm perfectly happy moving on. Acting as if, right?

I agree lodo, this story isn't ended yet. W is running away from the feelings she does have for you. She's putting the om bandaid over them right now.

Can you drag your heels and slow this down? do you want to drag your heels?

Hey WCW,

I don't really know how to drag my heels at the moment - very little contact with W and am facing D papers and moving. Best option I see at the moment is being pleasant and friendly whenever we do have interaction and just get through this month. Once I'm in my new place and she's all alone in the house, she'll have time to reflect about what's going on. Especially since I'm getting involved in new things that she's aware of.

But do I want her back? I find myself struggling more and more with that question.

Anyway, I dread the papers coming as well as dividing up our stuff, but as mentioned, we still have a waiting period that's as long as what I've been through so far. A lot can obviously happen. I'm just concentrating on myself and trying to make myself happy at the moment.

That's a fine plan too.

Those new things you're getting involved in...that's for you right? not something just to get her attention?

Yep, you gotta take care of yourself. Sometimes its not a matter of 1 day at a time but an hour at a time. I wont say after a year it's easier but it is different and by taking care of yourself now you'll get there.

Take some time for yourself this weekend, find a friend and go do something CONSTRUCTIVE.

Hi again Lodo -

I just found another must do hike - Buckskin Gulch. Have you been there?

Where in the great expanse of Northern California are you located? I used to live in Klamath Falls, OR and was a chronic Shastaholic (climbed it 14 times). The Lava Beds National Monument was always a lot of fun to visit. Lots of lava tubes to explore.

Actually, I think it is great that California makes you wait so long to get a D. Lots can happen and I would be curious if there are statistics that show how many divorces are busted because of the longer wait. Here in Oregon, it is 90 days, but that can be waived if both parties agree.

Just thought I would stop in and say that I wish you the best. Just finished reading this thread and am happy to see some of the people here that have been helping me! I noticed that alot of people here have midwestern roots(I am in Topeka), must be why everyone is so nice! Take care and I'll keep a watch on your thread.

Hey KerryK,

Buckskin is great - the whole Paria area is great. But you might want to call re: permit - it can get pretty busy.

I'm in the Bay Area, where it's like summer today - 78 degrees! I've been up to Shasta and Lava Beds a lot too, love it.

Looks like my thread is about to lock so I'm starting a new one:

Klamath Falls, that's southern OR right? I've visited there at 70mph about 10 years ago.

I think it is our duty to lodo to help lock up this thread. I have a few things to do outside yet on this cold wet dreary day and then be back to get r done...

Midwest is great! and the people are better! um, IMO.
