They used to tell us in the Coast Guard that in the Aleutian Islands there was a pretty girl behind every tree. After visiting a couple of the islands, I discovered there were no trees.

If I was a girl wanting to meet a man - Alaska is the place to go.

I want to visit Alaska! I was real close to going last summer but the plan fell apart.

MIDwest lodo, MIDwest is best!

A pretty girl behind every tree and there are no trees. There's a joke in there right?! HA!

Did you hear about the lady that got a job in the Elmo factory?

No, I haven't heard about the lady in the Elmo factory.

phhooooey! even the Beach Boys sang about the midwest farmers daughters.....

So this lady was hired in the Tickle Me Elmo factory. Her first day on the job she got way behind, the guy that hired her saw the piles and piles of Elmo dolls and got really irked. He stomped over and he saw her putting 2 marbles in a little bag and sewing them onto the dolls. The guy nearly fainted from laughing so hard. He went over to his new employee and said 'I told you to give each Elmo two test tickles!'

What! my jokes are that bad?
I saw the lock monster come thru on other threads this evening.
You might have to finish this on your own, I am getting pretty tired even though it's only 10pm. But if I go to bed now I won't have to see H when he comes home tonight.

Hey, you were the one who wanted to lock it. I was content with moving on to my new thread - [title] 2. I've decided that the numbering signifies me coming to terms with the fact that I'm in this for the long haul.

The long haul. Funny. That used to be the name of my threads...numbered...

So, what changed your mind to stay in for the long haul and keep posting?

BTW, it's a personal challenge to lock this thread. You started #5 now but none of your 1 - 4 are locked yet!

I may doze off, I am in bed now.
