Funny my MC said the same things yours is saying about how the M can be saved and now its like they want to punish you and not release the anger. Sounds like you are in very good spirits giving W what she wants, or you are a pretty good poker player in this, which you really have to be and not show the hurt and the disgust you have about it. Good luck this weekend.

I totally know the majority of these marriages can be saved, but they can't be until the WAS recognises their part in where we are all at. It takes two to tango and it seems to me that Mrs Mike is currently to stubborn and has to much anger to even speak to a C which I think is a little sad.

Could you play the emotional card Mike ? Go for what I said previous, but maybe through in a line like that your W just go for her and your daughters future happiness ?

Not wanting to use kids in this for our benefit, but it's for the childs interests too. Hopefully a happy M & D that get through this, but if not, you don't want D being brought up by an angry Mum !!

Hey Mike..

Good to hear you have positive plans in place. The Gucci guy always seemed helpful.

As a different way of looking at things.. consider this:

Your actions once you two had your talk reflect exactly what she feared from you.

Your actions met her defensiveness and amplified it.

Your actions justify her resolution to go forward with the divorce.

You do a great job doing what you want to do.

How good of a job do you do when it comes to what your wife wants?

If a good friend of yours had this much anger, what would you do?

If someone you were sitting next to on a plane shared this much angst over their anger, what would you do?

If you truly want the marriage, it's not the Mike Show.. right now it's the Wife Show.

Who needs the lawnmower more.. you or her?

Protect yourself but think ABOVE the divorce. Are you trying til the whistle blows?

I'm just asking questions, Mike. In my case, I know there's a point where I stop shredding myself and move on.
*hugs*

I'm afraid there is no way to hide the hurt. My heart is broken but she does not see it.

Mike, I believe what Gypsy was saying is you started the talks last night about splitting things up, "as I see no problem in this" but I guess from another stand point, instead of fighting for your M, you have accepted the loss and are ready to move on, this is only an observation, I may be wrong.

I dont think he has fully accepted, he is still fighting but in the way that something wasnt working so he has to try a new aspect on things. Sounds like he is going to fight til the end like the majority of us, but not stand in her way cause it will just cause more anger, but at the same time how to prevent anger from W when you need to protect yourself and lay the law down?

Mike I think ping1 is spot on with his take on Gypsy's post.

Seems to me she is asking are you done or are you still committed to the end...

Just my take on it

And Mike let me clear something in my post, I know you are still fighting for you M, but what you and I both know, your W maybe doesn't know. I think what Gypsy was saying is you started the talk with your W so in your W's eyes, you are done.

My W and I are in an email convo(all morning) and she knows I'm not done..a few lines in Gypsy's post stood out and I don't understand really.
