1. Click on the user name.
2. Click to View profile.
3. Click *ignore this user*
4. You will then see the following:
Quote:
*User has been ignored.
You are now ignoring this user. You will no longer see the body of any of their posts.*

After you have set to ignore all you will see is the user name and the following statement where their post would be:
Quote:
*** You are ignoring this user ***

SWL: Thanks for posting this. I am one of those who is tech challenged and it is helpful. Sometimes we just want to help and it bothers us so much that we can't. Because we've been there, done that. But none of us needs the abuse and the time wasted either. I might have to use your suggestion and appreciate the time you took to post the info.

Barb,
You are quite welcome. I don't think that many even know that there is an ignore feature let alone how to make it work. I figured it was time for a little 101.

Fig,
You and me both, girl. You and me both.

Darboyd,
Good information for you to tuck away but nothing for you to worry about personally. \:\)

Someone mentioned this feature last week when Manisha (AG) was off on one of her manure throwing tangents and everyone was getting very upset - myself included. I still wasn't sure if it was a good idea. But you know - there are posters who don't "get it" but still appreciate our efforts and then there are those who use and abuse other posters and this board by blogging or selling their political or religious views. There is a time and a place for everything and none of us has the time to waste being abused or subjected to the constant droning on and on about me me me. (OK, I like to talk about Me too but really in a fun, moving on kind of way)

But on I drone too.

Good info for sure and I will try it.

Barb
