Great idea, SPM!
Just off the top of my head, today I am thankful for:
-- All the great people, here and in RL, who listen to me and advise and support me
-- Good health
-- My adorable cats
-- Antidepressants! \:\)
-- Getting noticed and featured by a major magazine in my field!

Peace,
Dawn

I am in WA - Seattle area.
I love that list, Dawn. That's really cool that you got into a magazine. Kudos to you!

Had a very nice evening with the kids. Guess what was the highlight? Doing homework! Ha! I did a spelling quiz, read a story, proofed a book report, and signed the kids homework books. Ahhh! just like old times. I feel like a dad again.

I make good money but I am totally broke - the financial disaster of divorce will do that to ya. But who cares? money comes and goes. I love my kids.

SPM,
Thank you! I'm hoping this will all go through okay--they just shot the pix of my work last week, and I went through all this with the same magazine last year but they ended up not using my work. That was very disappointing, but I think it will work out this time, and my work is scheduled to be HEAVILY featured in an article this magazine will be publishing next year! Now I just need to get my website finished so the hordes who see my work in the magazine and start drooling will have more info at their fingertips! It's been at least four years since I started trying to get my site up and running...aaaagh!

SPM, sounds like you are living something I heard: Things don't matter. People do.

Good for you! \:\)

Blessings and peace,
Dawn

Get that website up! Don't delay! Call in some web weenies to do it for you! That kind of thing can make a big difference!

Hi, SPM,
I know, I know! \:\) Come around to my thread and keep me accountable!

I do have a web weenie (besides the one I'm nominally married to...when things started going sideways between us, I stopped involving him in the website development process), but my website guy is waiting for me to do a bunch of scanning of my work--one of the few things left to be done before taking the site live. I was going to have him do the scanning, but we decided eventually that it would be better if I did it, for various reasons. And then right after I took back that project, I got loads of paying work (spring, when my busy season kicks in), and it's kept on being surprisingly heavy all since then, but I keep expecting it to slow down soon because Nov-Feb is my slow season. So hopefully I will have some time (okay, I will need to MAKE some time) to do the scanning and get this site moving forward!

Anyway, didn't mean to hijack! I am SOOO bad about that! Thanks for being interested and caring enough to give me that nudge! \:\)

Take care of yourself and your great kids!

Peace,
Dawn

I am thankful…
  • for fall (again). I love the dew on the grass in the morning.
  • for a cheerful “See you Sunday!” from my son. I love that he is looking forward to our time together as much as I am. This weekend I think I’d like to go on a hike.
  • For Charlyne & Bob.
  • For progress, movement. Even if it is slow, slower than I would like.
  • For my physical health. For my body, my limbs, my muscles, my eyes, and my tastebuds. Everything works. I move around, I see and taste and smell things. I myself am a miracle!

Yes Sirprize keep that list going. I am in OR so I get to shop at Fred Meyer too.

I think progress is slower than anyone would like. You have a good spirit, so keep it going.

Hi Sir-
Thanks for sharing what you are thankful for. Your lists are a reminder to us to focus on positives. I really need that reminder today.

I hope you continue to find many, many more things that you are thankful for.

Wow Sirprize "coffee ladies". Where are the "Coffee men"?

I was a bit suprised today though, a guy in the grocery store started up a convo with me. It was all about sports, which I didn't have a clue but just said "now that's a game you wouldn't want to miss".

It was nice though a complete stranger decided to chat with me. I was in my work out wear and all.
