I made it to Chilkoot Charlies and even to a place called the Monkeys Wharf that had monkeys behind the bar. After the fight, I took refuge from the bloody screaming loser in a place called "The Wild Cherry". How appropriate.

The most embarrasing thing for me was when my ship stopped in Ketchikan. I was 19 (but looked 15) and I had bought a big brown bag full of candy in town. Then some friends and I went into a strip bar that had rows and rows of benches holding a large group of our rowdy shipmates. We sat down on a bench for the show and I was and busy eating and digging through my bag of candy when I heard a stripper yell out "Is there a virgin present?" I looked up and saw what looked to be about 50 of my shipmates pointing at ME just like Donald Sutherland in Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The next thing I knew was one of the strippers had thrown herself on me. My friends were rolling with laughter because I was holding on tightly to my big bag of candy held above my head. The stripper asked me if I wanted to go up on stage and cure my virginity to which I politely declined. Good grief!

I am still thankful to have spent a good amount of time on a historic Coast Guard cutter traveling to interesting destinations throughout the huge Alaskan coast line. I was able to make stops at St Paul Island in the Bering sea, Adak, Kiska and Dutch Harbor in the Aleutians, Kodiak, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Anchorage.

Great stuff. Similarly...I am grateful that the Public Health Service put me up for 3 months in Anchorage at the Alaska Native Medical Center. The other 'bawdy' place was the Great Alaskan Bush Company. No need to say more. It was lonely up there...even as a 25 year old medical student. Learned to respect the outdoors...almost lost my life hiking up in the Chugach Mts. BTW..Jane was from King Cove.

Funny stuff, Kerry.

Great stories of the Coast Guard days in Alaska.

Hey, Kerry. Anything new w/ the settlement and the re-fi of the house?

I hope all is going well. When do you think you can sign everything off by and move forward?

Later,

Hey, Kerry.

I'm looking up the "Five Love Languages" book, but I'm finding several version. Is there a certain version you are recommending?

I mean, there is "Five Love Languages for Singles", "Five Love Languages for Men", "Five Love Languages: How to Express Your Heartfelt Committment" ... so I'm confused as to which one to buy.

Thanks for the help w/this one.

I have "Five Love Languages: How to Express Your Heartfelt Committment" and did not know there was a men's version.

I've been holding off on the re-fi until the judgment papers are filed. I sent some corrections of the judgment draft to my lawyer yesterday and hopefully it will be done in a week or two.

STBX is starting to get more stuff out of the house. She was kind enough to go through D6's clothes and pull out the items too small so as I can give them to GF40's D4.

GF40 and I appear to both be naturally producing significant amounts of Adrenaline, Dopamine, Serotonin, Oxytocin and Vasopressin. Mighty powerful chemicals and I like it!

STBXW talked with me this morning. D6 told X that she is so excited about a slumber party (after swimming) at my house with G40 and her D4. X asked where everyone is sleeping and D6 said that they are going to be in sleeping bags in S8's room, but that she thinks GF40 and I may sleep elsewhere. Both kids chimed in by saying they think the days of crawling into dads bed in the middle of the night are coming to an end.

I had suggested to the kids that it might not be easy on their mother to hear about too many details of our private life when they are with me. But I also told them to feel free to talk about whatever is on their minds with either their mother or me.

They are going to have a blast this weekend going to the coast with GF40 and her D4. I'm sure X will hear all about the fun experiences they have.
