Hey Kerry...

You've started another family, another chapter of your life where with the exception of visitation with your children, your wife is excluded. She is now the one who is outside looking in.

When this poo first splatted on the windshield of your life, you were in that position, outside looking in on what in the heck happened.

Now's the time to focus on where you are, not where you think she is.

Everyone gets hurt in divorce. And once you've moved forward imagining another's pain or regret does nothing to speed the healing process... or at least that's what my crystal ball tells me.

*hugs*

I dont wish any emotional pain on my X. I believe she is regretful of the path she has chosen. And now she has a big operation today (with some uncertainties) and will be layed up for 2 months. I feel sorry for her a bit, but the forking over of $170K that I have to come up with soon makes me realize she is going to be ok financially for a while. She will come to accept the D eventually. I just dont think she ever thought this whole thing through very well a year ago when she strayed and did not want to be married to me anymore.

One of my major todo's now is getting my house in order. The first thing is to gather up all of the X's stuff into boxes and put them into the garage so she can get it when she is better. One of the things that always bugged me about her was her continually shopping and buying stuff/clutter to fill my small house with. GF40 has watched a good amount of HGTV and has a lot of suggestions as to how I can make the inside of my house much better.

Yep, she is indeed a keeper Woog. And she is low maintenance - likes to eat at home as opposed to my X who constantly needed to eat out.

I dont think she has any friends that she is close to.

You do know that Spokane is the 3rd largest city in the Pacific NW behind Seattle and Portland. I am guessing there are thousands of eligible single ladies in your age group there that would love to be given some skiing tips.

Kerry,

Congratulations on the D and I can only hope the papers get in quickly for you to be "officially" free.

G40s homemaking skills and know-how should come in handy. It will also be fun to do the projects together.

You know they say that doing things together to accomplish a goal, whether it is working out, playing a sport, or completing a project, is arousing and can lead to some awesome sex.

So, if this is true, I'm wishing you a boatload of projects and fix-ups at Casa de Kerry! ;\)
