Hi pearlhahor. Love to have women on my thread... \:\)

I get what your saying, W just has to realize I'm no longer her fallback. Yes, I am their father but not her sitter when she wants to run around.

I'm thinking if I'm dropping the kids off at MILs tonight, would this be a good time to expose W's affair to them? Or would SIL already have let the cat out of the bag?

Whatever happens happens....

I wouldn't avoid it and I wouldn't try to force it into a conversation.

Just let the game come to you..

After all... "no secrets"....LOL....

Or does that mean only YOU and her friend are not allowed to keep secrets?

Just don't come across as "controlling" to her parents.. LOL...

Hi, I've only posted once or twice to you but I've been with you from the start.

What is to be accomplished by exposing the affair to the in-laws? From this end it seems sort of punitive. Will this bring you closer to your goal? It's going to come out eventually, one way or the other. You being the one to spill the beans seems like it just makes you look small. No?

BTW, I think SIL will probably take care of this for you eventually anyway.

As always good luck, keep up the good work.

What's the strong and honorable approach A? Be above it, no little kid stuff.

Ok. I will take a look.....

My wife still laughs at my screen name...

"What made you choose "Gucci Loafer"?????? she asked as she laughed. It cracks her up and then it started to crack us both up. It is now turning into a little "joke and pet name" that we have between us....

That is an insight to what I am trying to convey to AinO...
He DID need to stop "controlling"her
He HAS stopped controlling her and is just "being".
No control or whatever else you want to call it. It is HER word that SHE used. It doesn't matter what we think, what matters is if SHE THINKS he is controlling. She is slowly beginning to think that he is NOT controlling her because he ISN'T. He is making is OWN decisions. He is letting her do whatever her heart pleases. Now she can NOT say he is controlling. (and she hasn't, has she?)

Gucci? LOL... I have no idea why...

I guess it is a gift.. LOL...

RULE #1 OF MARKETING:

Always position YOURSELF, before your competitor does it for you.

If you want to control the message, A, you will do this yourself. Just be honest with them, tell them how much you respect them and would never want to lie to them, and that you love their daughter very much and want to fight for the marriage, but you're finding it very difficult when you're being disrespected this way.

Talk as if EVERY WORD will get back to your wife. Just speak the truth, in love, and you'll do fine.
