Christmas was good except GF40's D4 had a terrible fever and woke up crying pretty hard. G40 gave me a very nice Skagen watch that I like a lot.
She does have something lined up for me tonight as she wants me all dressed up nice. Ringing in the New Years with a big kiss is very important to her.
My refinance is almost completed and I got a very good rate. X has opened up her own IRA and my SEP IRA accounts are being transferred to that. She also is shopping around for health insurance as she is pretty shocked that she has to pay $300 a month to continue with my company plan.
The house reorganize is coming along very nicely. I splurged yesterday by getting a 50 inch plasma tv. When I turned the thing on and picked up some HDTV broadcast channels, I probably looked like a possum caught in the headlights.
I am taking S8 this morning to a town nearby to get him a new captains bed for his bedroom. His current bed (with slide) is now claimed by D6 for over at X's house.
It was nice last night. Girlfriend and I just ate at the place where we had our first date - kind of a Taiwan style sukiyaki boil your own food place. We then met up with her brother and wife at a bar high in the sky. Did I ever mention that I am not the night club kind of guy? This one was not too bad because we got a great window seat overlooking the river and the city. I got the kiss in but held back because her brother was sitting across from us.
After signing off on my refinance today, I took S8's bedroom furniture over to X's place. It really is a loner bed (with slide), dresser and book shelf that seemed too young and colorful for him. D6 lays claim to it now.
OM68 helped me unload my van and put the furniture in his barn which is probably bigger than my house (with indoor basketball court). After that, he invited me into the house (single level 10,000 square foot) to see the kids rooms. The kids rooms are very nice with walk in closets, attached bathrooms and doors to the outside deck overlooking a fish pond. S8 even has a loft above his bedroom. I glanced into the kitchen/living room and it looked like the size of a restaurant.
X and S8 showed me a poster of pictures that he put together for school of his family. It even had a picture of my GF40 and her D4.
