What Jeff says. You need to have some leverage otherwise he is going to remain in the status quo. The lawyer should give you a plan. I know you dont want to file, but it may need to come to that if you are to move on with a happy life.

Have you separated enough money into a personal account yet? Cancel shared credit cards and start your own. Get as much shared things split up now.

The lawyer can also help you to determine what is best for the kids. It sounds to me like Dan's work is a problem for him to have 50%.

I'm thinking of you and holding you and your kids in my prayers. I have zero advice other than to please separate out as much as you possibly can right now. Protect your assets and yourself from Dan. I know you probably don't think that he would purposely do damage to your finances but he is only thinking of himself now so you can't trust that. Put yourself first sweetie because no one else will!

I know - that sounds really mercenary doesn't it? \:\)

Keep warm and hold those babies close.

He is here and I cannot stop crying. S is asleep he crashed at 6:00 but D is awake.

He came home and walked in the door and I asked what he was doing here and he said, "I live here, we are going to do this and make it work."

He is using everything I have ever said back at me..

"You wanted me to live here, you wanted us to stay a family. I want to do that too now. So how can you be mad?

OMG BBJ!!!!! Do you have anywhere else you can go to get away from him? What are your feelings on this? Dan has been lying to you for so long, now that he can't have the house he wanted because of the joint property issue he's going to "make it work"? Is that what you want now? Can you?

I am so sorry I have zero advice for you other than to not get into a heated argument about it tonight. Keep to yourself and pray sweetie.

I'm here. My contact info is in the alt so call me if you need to. I'll be up for a couple of hours still. Call someone BBJ.

It is soooooooo transparent! YUCK!

I wish I had even a snippet of good advice. I there may be ways that he can acquire the property without you, I am sure you'd have to sign off on it (releasing any claim to it), and it would take a lawyer. But it might be worth looking into.

The thought of a cast iron skillet to the head is somewhat attractive! \:\)
