Hi punkin

Sounds like a wonderful start to your day and the rest of your life!

Good for you for getting the tractor unstuck! Didn't that feel awesome!

I, too, had a hard time thinking about planting flowers or doing any of the things I normally loved to do...almost like I was punishing myself for "failing"....anyway, I did finally get the pots filled and the flowers are beautiful!!! You know, you might be able to get some really cheap now since it is the end of the season and still get a couple of pots out! It really is great for the PMA!

I liked the dragging of the a$$ out of bed. Some days that was a huge achievment. And here you go and really do stuff! Good for you.

Okay - I know it's all about me and not keeping up with what WH is doing, but please, allow me a small rant.

For 20 years, my husband would not have anything to do with anything in the least country, he's strictly heavy metal. He wouldn't be caught dead at a Rodeo, listen to country music, or be found anywhere near Branson, MO. Now he's living with a barrel racing, rodeo going, girl our son's age, who has invited my step son and his family to, of all places, Branson, MO. for the July 4th weekend.

I had asked if they would like to come out to cook hotdogs, have watermelon, and shoot off some simple fireworks over the pond. It's not that they are going to their Dad's instead of here. They could have just as easily went to their Mom's or DIL's parents, but BRANSON. Talk about completely and totally out of character. PLUS, the man just had a rod put in his back 4 weeks ago. Do you really think he can walk around Branson? WTH is he/she thinking?

Not that it's any of my business, but I had to rant.

Rant away.

I have heard so very strange stories about people that really didn't like certain things running into them with open arm after they've met someone else. The fact that she's 15 yr younger too, well...What can I say.

So, now that they are going to Branson, what are you going to do on the 4th?

Oh I'm still having my little get-together. My girls are really holding the line where OW is concerned. What hurts me is that he raised my girls, adopted the two youngest, and he is letting OW cut them out of his life, along with our grandchildren. So, I really expected stepson to have other plans, but can't get over H going to Branson. I understand OW wanting to cut them out, but him? So, it'll just be me, my three girls, their husbands, and 5 grandkids. It's just so hard having my family split up. It it hurts me, why doesn't he g/a/s?

Sweetie, he isn't letting her cut them out of his life. He's doing that all by himself. He's making a choice. I'm sorry, but that's the reality of it.

It isn't that he doesn't GAS, he just wants what he wants and may think that in time it will all come out in the wash. The trouble with that line of thinking is the only thing that comes out of a broken machine is dirty, wet laundry.

On some level they do get it. At my D's graduation, my H made a comment (we were talking about D's and the pain in his face was evident) "they don't talk to me." I know they don't usually include hin in anything of substance, but I can't fix that.

I all sux no matter how yo slice it. I'm glad you will have your girls and their families.

Why did the cow jump over the moon? Why do wolves howl at the moon? Why doesn't he give a shinola?

Why are you focusing on that? wink

So many questions in the world. So few satisfying answers.

For example 42...what a lame let down.

Pun,

Either have the best 4th of July, or have the worst one, its on you.

I WILL have a wonderful 4th of July, BECAUSE I have at least part of my family, and I know that Dumba@@ will go to Branson, which he hates, with 17,000 other people, in 105 degree heat, walking up and down hills, and probably hurt himself badly because of the surgery. Not that I take joy in his pain, but . . . Karma's a b@t@h.

Hey Grit,

Watch your spelling. The correct spelling is B-turd. Emphasis is on the last part of the word.

Also could be wrong, but Punkin is a military wife. She's probably got a few she could teach you.
