Yes it does work for some people, but some marriages nothing can help. I really wanted to make mine work but have since decided that I will not beg anyone to treat me right, so I will not save my marriage but I will be OK anyway.
Always remember that you cant force someone to love you, be the best dad you can be and move on with life, make the best of what you have. I would have stayed for the kids but that plan is dead and gone so make the best of what I have.
