Thanks everyone for the congrats. It certainly was tough to not have the family at my promotion...but my dad did fly out from Colorado, so at least someone was there...and a lot more fellow officers than I expected showed up.

Still no response from W to my e-mail...I've been wondering if her "trivial" calls were attempts to start talking about things...how long should I wait before bringing something up?

I've started reading 5LL and Hold Me Tight in preparation for rebuilding...both good books so far.

She's coming home.

They'll be here Wednesday or Thursday.

Well, W and kids are leaving tomorrow morning and will be here 48 hours from now. I am bouncing between being nervous, excited, and scared. I still have no idea what to expect from W as far as how we will interact, what she's willing to do to work on M, and what our living arrangement is going to be beyond that we will both be in the house (which I'm not complaining about one bit).

W is getting here late Thursday night and then is going to go visit a friend in Ohio for the weekend for her friend's birthday. I am taking the day off from work on Monday so she can stay up there an extra day. Should be a nice break for her after the stress of the past few months. Can't wait to have the kids back home...have a fun weekend planned with them.

Not planning on doing anything too over the top for the welcome home, but a couple small things. I'm working on cleaning the house really well. I'm also planning on getting some butterfly pictures I took framed and putting them up in D5's room, and getting a new computer desk so W can have a nice work area for getting back into school.

I can already feel how hard this is going to be...just working on getting as mentally prepared as I possibly can now.
