Oh I would love that! I have no idea how to get in contact with you via the alt universe.... But yes, H will be uber occupied with work. We'll be in LA Friday-Monday, then in San Diego Tues and Wed, then back to LA Thurs and Fri and fly back to the big D on Sat. Will you be around then?? How do I find you?

Hijacking.....

You are on the alt, 25? how can I find you? I am on it too. Angel spelled as Anjel.

Wish I could get to meet you too some day! I go to the LA area quite often.

Sorry Due for the hijack. You are a lucky duck to get to have a date with 25!

Due, at 14 mos. there's not too many rides you can take her on in Disney though.

When my D was younger, she enjoyed Legoland in Carslbad. And if your D likes animals, nothing beats San Diego Zoo!

I saw your post on the Myers Briggs. I took a personality test too, as a manager, and found that of four choices, I was a dominant-influencer and my H is a steady-conscientious type - we are exact opposites.

In the Retrouvaille test though, we did have some overlap in the thinker part - I am a thinker and catalyst, he is a thinker and a something else I dont remember.

I think it is true that opposites do tend to get together - we serve as a foil to the other persons' personality.

Anyways, have fun and make good memories!

I started a journal of good memories that I ask my H tpo contribute to also, so that whatever happens, we will have something to read and one day realize that it was not all that bad!

I took the Myers Brigg too. I recall two of my scores were extreme and two were in the moderate range of whatever trait that was. My most extreme was extrovert...no shocker, I'm one of 9 kids and intuitive(?). It's been awhile. Unfortunately I took the test 6 weeks after my dad died. I've sometimes wondered if my scores would change but it's not like I felt bad about them.

I thought it was brilliant of our CEO to suggest we pair with people who were different than us, w/different strengths, to build a better team.

Maybe it's a good idea to do that in marriage, but only if you both really do see the value in the differences.

I'm NOT in LA from the 28th to the 2nd cry but am otherwise in the area before and after then,

and Kaffe Diem knows how to reach me on the alt. Reach him there and he'll send you my way, or me yours.

Same to you Angel. I don't go public on FB as a DBer, for reasons I assume are obvious, e.g., b/c there are a few peeps who don't get that some topics are meant to remain private.

In any case, would love to hang with both!

I sent KD a PM on FB. Hopefully he'll get it and we can meet up!!

D had a blast at Disneyland and DCA. She thought the characters were amazing (and I think they liked her too. Quite a few times they would hug her and wave goodbye to us indicating they would keep her). H and I had fun too. Coming from the land of Six Flags, the coasters were a bit lacking, but everything else was amazing and in most cases, worth the price in comparison. We can't wait til she's a bit older and can last longer. And surprisingly, she also LOVED the parades. She danced the whole time. We were pleased by how much she got out of it. A fun first family vacation.

H will most likely be working ridiculous hours while here, so we can probably meet up at any time. I'm completely ignorant of the LA area, but we are currently near LAX. Lemme know if you can meet up!

Oh, and in regards to the MB, yes, according to what we studied in school, it's good to have someone who is complimentary to your type.

I've actually thought about going into Industrial/Organizational psych when I've run my coarse with education (which there is almost always a burn out point there, so it's probably a matter of when not if for that). I think it's freaking brilliant when companies bring in an IO to help with building teams based on things like the MB. I think that personality stuff is really interesting.

P.S., note the name change....

Thanks, guys. Eh, you can still call me May. It's still in the name :-)

We're having a blast. I'll be a little sad to return to reality tomorrow. But we have a new house waiting for us to move into when we get back, so that's exciting (and a little daunting).

This has been an awesome family vacation. Too bad H couldn't join us for a lot of the excursions, but he did get to see her at Disneyland, and he's already talked about what it will be like to bring her when she's 3 or 4. And my stepmother has been fantasizing about taking D to Disney since she was practically an embryo, so I'm sure that will happen a ways down the road too.

Alright, time to feed the kiddo.... AGAIN. She's literally grown a size while on this two week vacation (the one week in CO, and this one week in LA). I'm glad I packed a lot!!

Hello all,
Just wanted to touch base to let you know I'm fine. I'm head down thesis-ing until at least the 10th of August (it's a do or die type of thing so I can't f@ck around on this). But I didn't want any of you to worry. I'll be back in a few weeks....
