If you like alone time then have alone time. Embrace who you are/want to be rather than trying to be something for someone else.

The real you deserves to be happy being the real you.

Hi Little, indeed you should embrace what you want. I too have been feeling the need for alone time. Sure we need to GAL and try to be social, but it's also OK to have time to decompress and even time to just be alone and be sad. I think it is part of the process.

If you go go go all the time just to forget your situation that is not healthy either. In fact, I see my WAH doing this and he is making himself sick and exhausted.

Have a nice relaxing weekend!

That's an excellent point. I think it's part of the script to have us believe they are happier that ever.

There is so much talk about GAL around here, Little, don't run all the time just because some internet website says you have to. Be you. I think that is the most important thing. Just be you. I think we loose so much of our selves in our partners that we forget how to do it when they are not around. And there's not ANYTHING wrong with that, either.

Do what you want because you want to. Not to make someone else happy, not to spite someone else, but simply for you.

Thanks for the help and support. smile

I really enjoy doing things I love -- spending time alone, reading, sleeping in on weekends, without having someone tell me I'm a "buzzkill" because I don't have 29343 projects going on and I don't like to be out of the house all day after a full week of work.

I think, this winter, I'm going to take up knitting/crocheting. I've always wanted to and for a while I knew how to knit, but I forgot from lack of use.

Anyway, BF and I are like a week into NC. Still going strong, as far as want to contact him.

OW runs a local business. Saw a pic on the business FB page by accident of her best friend, another person and BF smiling and happy.

Lost the battle, got in my car and drove past the old house. This was like 9:30pm. He wasn't home, thankfully.

I'm so stupid. I blocked the business page of my FB so that doesn't happen again.

Annnnnnd.....I got a text this morning, out of the blue.

"I ran across that pic you sent me of [the cat] in the bee costume and couldn't stop laughing. I hope your weekend was good."

Yeah. How do I respond? Do I respond?

If you respond I would joke about the cat in a bee costume. Rather than talk about your weekend I would just ignore that part of the text

I like that text. I'd reply something like "Haha. Yes, had a great weekend." Hint that you're having a great time, moving on, GALing, etc.
