So my wife is downstairs packing, seperating our things. I've no plans to go out tonight and don't really want to. Am I right to be sat upstairs just ignoring it.

I've got nowhere to go and don't want to just go out for the sake of it

Hi Jim

Tricky one, as you know my w half heartedly split our vinyl albums or some of them but said her back was bad (fair enough I suppose) then stopped.

Sounds like its playing on your mind though, I know its a crappy feeling.

I just wonder whether I'm suppose to help, object or what?

Instead I'm attempting to repair my telephone socket

My take would be that you let her separate and pack and then you go later to see what she's packed and give her feedback if you want to make changes. I wouldn't go around her now because it will only start arguments.

I'd agree with mozza, I agreed what was coming with me with w did all the work and still got it wrong in her eyes. Still getting "have you got" messages from time to time....and don't start me on the sieve!

How goes the socket?

Its just stuff. So I probably won't even bother to check.

Can't do the socket as I need a punch tool. So trip to the shop tomorrow then.

You *can* use a thin flat blade screwdriver but it can bend the terminals and won't cut the cables at the sides. It'll do in a pinch though.

Jim,

Ripping this gem off from Paul over in Maybell's thread:

Forget it, in the great scheme of things it's stuff, only stuff. If Edz can get a chest of drawers for £15 and V can get a new bath for £10, go figure. You can restock the album collection from charity shops. Guys usually don't like soft fluffy worn out furnishings and fancy crockery. Wilco has a sale on at the moment for 200 you can redo the whole place.

The important things are you have a roof, the love of your children and your sense of humour. That lot would fit in one car plus boot.

Let it go, it's the wrong bacon, let her have the haemorrhoid cream (it's out of date anyway) her OM will need it if he is Mza W identical twin brother, plus there will be a few spare toe nail clippings begging.
