Dear V,

Yes, Wonka does have a wonderful way with her writing...no doubt about it.

So, should I go with this as my first text? (I'm sorry about another question.) The part in blue was your good validation suggestion to add:

"Yes, I am so thrilled for the Blackhawks...about time. What an epic series! Darn it about the pancreatitis...ugh, that’s no fun at all. It's difficult when you have that sort of health issue. Hope you're better by now. How wonderful that (S) is going to (W's college)...how exciting for him. I can imagine that you must be very proud of him. I am, too, for all he's accomplished up to now."

Then, in about 2 days send this:

"Sure, I can send out the items. Knife?? Are you chasing bears in the backyard?? Ha! Have a good day. Bob"

This may be a poor excuse, but I had a l-o-n-g day at work and it's pretty late by me. I apolgize if I'm mis-reading something.

Thanks all for your patience.

Love you all so much.

Bob

Bob, after talking about the son I would add V's addition of
" I can check on your other things and respond in a couple of days."

Then send the second half in a few days.

Eirinn, thank you so very much. Boy, I am losing it. LOL At least I can laugh about it.

I meant to add that at the end. It's an important sentence if I'm breaking this into 2 texts.

So, here is what I'm thinking for the first text:

"Yes, I am so thrilled for the Blackhawks...about time. What an epic series! Darn it about the pancreatitis...ugh, that’s no fun at all. It's difficult when you have that sort of health issue. Hope you're better by now. How wonderful that (S) is going to (W's college)...how exciting for him. I can imagine that you must be very proud of him. I am, too, for all he's accomplished up to now. I can check on your things and respond in a couple of days."

Then, in about 2 days send this:

"Sure, I can send out the items. Knife?? Are you chasing bears in the backyard?? Ha! Have a good day. Bob"

Thank you for catching that Eirinn. grin

Small suggestion Bob. I would rephrase the "it's difficult when you have that sort of health issue".

When I first read it, I took it to mean that it's difficult for YOU that she has a health issue. If I can make that mistake, she surely can too.

I would make it clearer that you are validating and not complaining.

I so hope I'm making sense.

Bob, that's the final edit from Toots. It's an important communication.

keep the cd until later in the process.

Because this will be a slow train journey there will be plenty of stopping stations and junctions to include it.

Just out of curiosity....this is the third Blackhawks championship in 6 years. What's with this "about time" garbage?

Hi Matt,

LOL! LOL! You sound like one of my-co-workers who is a huge Wings fan. When the playoffs began, I told him the Cup goes thru Chicago this year. (I had the same feeling in 2010/13 - really!) I would've loved to have seen a Wings - Hawks Final. Imagine how that would've been. I was using Wonka's suggested text, but you actually have a real good point. I have been a Hawks fan since I was 7 - I'm almost 55 now. I don't know if Wonka is a hockey fan. I think I should take that litle part out since my W became a huge Hawks fans because of me. We loved watching all the games together.

Maybe next year, Matt! Go Hawks! grin

Thank you for checking in and I hope you are having a good day.

Bob
