Steve, I'm glad to hear your positive updates. That seems like an important thing to do - not become overly attached - after you go through a big problem in marriage. The 'new ' just has to be different in some ways. It's good one of your ways is to practice differentiation. Does your wife seem to be doing anything specific on her end as well?

Jim, yes I do take the D out once in a while. Those go very well usually. It is our day-to-day interactions where she just has a bad attitude most of the time. I try to keep it light, and that seems to help......depending on her mood.

Thanks Nicole. The dynamics of our relationship have changed. She isn't as clingy and doesn't rely on me for validation like she used to. I think she has differentiated quite a bit over the course of the last 2 years. Though I think she more checked out of the MR, rather than detached. I think she continues to slowly move back fully into the MR. I think she is fully committed to R, but 8 months vs years has her still a little wary that I have really changed for good.Time and consistency is all I can do.
