I remember reading and re-reading HB's articles over and over in 2014 and 2015. It's funny, I almost forgot about those, probably would have helped to reread them in the last few years. They made sense of my chaos and I felt like I had a friend who understood me, which was so important. She had a gentle and loving way of helping which I am always looking for -- Gerda runs away when hit with a 2x4. I also remember sending her questions, hoping she'd answer one in her forums.

It would be a terrible shame if her site comes down; I wonder if her family is going to keep it up, it will help so many people til the end of time! The articles should at least be printed into a little booklet!

And I think it's a good lesson for us. Look at how HB used her trial, how she grew as a person and helped so many grow. She didn't get to have a long ripe old age with her restored marriage, but no one would ever say her personal journey wasn't powerful, impactful, a huge part of the meaning of her life. A truth for all of us to live by when we idolize an outcome instead of using our lives to create meaning, whatever our lives have handed us.

I believe I will see the bounty of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord with courage.
Be stouthearted, and wait for the Lord.

Praising God for all the wisdom and compassion that HeartsBlessing was able to communicate, in her own lovingly forthright way. I have read her words many times over the past two years and I always find something new for the stage I'm in.

What a blessing, as you are passing away, to know that you have been a light in the darkest moments of so many. The best I know to say of her is that she reflected Christ.
