Very good Soup, you deserve that, amazing that W has been involved also, you are living proof that it can and does work, we have to get you a statue for the man who showed the world the meaning of pacience.

New developments are happening daily.
Xwife is starting to make more contact this past two weeks.
Today she asked if I'd look after the dog. Of course.
There is hope of a potential "friendship" someday.
That would please everyone incl my new friend.

Soup,

You sound great! I am not yet at the point of hoping for a friendship with my X. Maybe some day, who knows. Right now it really doesn't matter. I love the statement of having a cherishing mind...

Keep it up.

Thks. I've learned that for me "maintaining a cherishing mind" works for me. It makes me a better person in my daily life interacting with others. Focusing on building a friendship wasn't even on my agenda. It's a plus. ....Soup

I watched a lovely old movie on PBS the other night....."An Unmarried Woman (Paul Mazursky) 1978" staring Jill Clayburgh.

Classic story of a spouse left behind and how she copes. She must have read DB.

Great story. Had forgotten that I saw it back in '79.

Anyone else see it??

Don't remember the whole plot - but I do remember seeing a scene from it recently, and thinking "gee, in the 70's movie stars looked like ordinary people" - I can't imagine her being a big star today, when everyone you see on film and TV is airbrushed to perfection!
