I just finished reading your wonderful book. It was the ice-cream on the chocolate cake and I thourouly enjoyed every morsel. Your words of wisdom spoke to my heart and enlighted my soul. You were my girlfriend for a few weeks and you truly understood how I was feeling. Well that's how I perceived it. Halfway through the book I did figure out that It was all about changing myself and my view on my relationships. It did help clarify men to me. My house is all male, my wonderful husband and three sons ages 19, 16 and 11 years. I guess I was looking to them to be my girlfriends. They are men (my men) and keeping it goal and task oriented has been to my amaizement the key to unlocking my frustration with them. I now speech their language. Our relationship is easier and flows like it has never done before. It is clear to me now and no longer a struggle. It is wonderful. My husband is happier now and we are focusing on what brought us together 13 years. My husband is truly my sole mate. I look forward to growing old with him.
Your book came at a time when my husband and I had been to marriage councelling on and off for years. We tried different ones picking up what we were ready for from each and then struggling along. We were growing but it seemed so hard and took so long. Maybe that is the way it is suppose to happen. Our relationship has been tested beyond limits and to our credit we stayed together. I believe that deep down we always knew that what brought us together in the beginning was bigger than us and we were determined to find our way back to eachother.
We are at peace again and enjoying our oneness. We survived the storm and are the better for it. The future looks bright and I am armed with skills to keep us on track.
I am sharing your book with friends that are stuck in their relationship. I hope it is the key to unlocking their hearts.
